The Two Dons

These two paintings are special to me, in part because they came from a collaborative effort with my sister Kelly who is my favorite artist and I remember every stroke and scrape and layer in the process. We ordered the canvas from a shop in New Jersey and we held our breaths hoping they would arrive in time for us to complete the work before the upcoming City Hall Exhibition. It was cold and we were painting late and early. We sold them recently, they went to a good home. We are blessed.

Telling Stories

Familiar devices from the corporate whiteboard, I'm quickly distracted with a plan to show them otherwise, interesting. There is language in these and usually the words don't matter.

Favorite Christmas Gifts

I got a new jacket from my family for Christmas. Our friend Ron Miriello drove up from San Diego for a quick holiday visit, he took this photo of me flying around the studio in my new jacket with a painting in my grasp. He titled the photo "Moving Embrace." These are my favorite gifts in no particular order: new jacket, holiday visits with good friends, and my family all around me happy and healthy. Happy New Year.
